Cemetery & the monuments & erections therein.

Voted To accept the above report & to adopt the regulations therein proposed

Perpetual repair of lots.

Voted That the Comee on Lots have power to contract with any proprietor to keep his lot in perpetual repair.

Removal of remains

Voted. That the President be a comee to report on the subject of adopting some measures to prevent the removal of remains from the Cemetery.

Strangers admitted.

Voted That the Trustees be [socially?] authorized to prevent strangers to enter the Cemetery with a carriage

Trustees Repairs

Voted That the Treasurer perform the necessary duties in regard to the custody & services trust of the said "fund for repairs", under the superintendence of the comee on investments & under the same regulations as apply to his other duties.

Location of Tombs

The comee on Lots reported that tombs may be built within twenty six feet of the westerly & southerly fences of the cemetery, with the consent of the Comee on lots, & not elsewhere. Voted. To accept the above report -

Water

Voted. That the comee on Lots be authorized to employ an engineer to ascertain the practicability of bringing water from Fresh Pond to Mount Auburn. Voted. To adjourn -

At a meeting of the Proprietors of the Cemetery held pursuant to notice . Present Joseph Story, Jacob Bigelow, Martin Brimmer, George W. Crockett, Charles P. Curtis & Isaac Parker. The Secretary being absent C.P. Curtis was chosen Secretary pro teme

Officers chosen.

Joseph Story was chosen President by ballot.

George W. Bond was chosen Treasurer by ballot

Benjm R. Curtis was chosen Secretary by ballot

Comee on Lots

Voted That Mssrs Jacob Bigelow C.P. Curtis & Isaac Parker be the Commee on lots with all the powers heretofore conferred on the said Commee

Comee on Finance

Voted That Mssrs Isaac Parker & B.A. Gould be a comee on finance with all the powers conferred on them by vote

Plan of Chapel

Voted . That Messrs Brimmer, Bigelow & Story be a comee on obtaining plans & for a chapel.

Fence

The Comee on Lots having reported that they had made a contract with Mss Adams & Wittredge & Cummings, & O.T. Rogers for erecting a fence of stone & iron at the Cemetery for $12,400 to be paid for by instalments
