Voted To accept the above report & to adopt the regulations therein proposed

Perpetual repair of lots.

Voted That the Com^ee on Lots have power to contract with any proprietor to keep his lot in perpetual repair.

Removal of remains

Voted. That the President be a com^ee to report on the subject of adopting some measures to prevent the removal of remains from the Cemetery.

Strangers admitted.

Voted That the Trustees be [socially?] authorized to prevent strangers to enter the Cemetery with a carriage

Trustees Gate.

Pursuant to notice issued by the Secretary the Trustees of the Proprietors of the Cem^y. of Mount Auburn met at the office of the Secretary on Tuesday Sep^r 27^th at 4. o'clock P.M.

Voted. That the committee on lot viz Jacob Bigelow C.P. Curtis & Isaac Parker be empowered to contract with Octavious T. Rogers of Quincy on some other suitable person for the building of a granite gateway at Mount Auburn & to pay for the

Trustees Repairs

Voted That the Treasurer perform the necessary duties in regard to the custody & services trust of the said "fund for repairs", under the superintendence of the com^ee on investments & under the same regulations as apply to his other duties.

Location of Tombs

The com^ee on Lots reported that tombs may be built within twenty six feet of the westerly & southerly fences of the cemetery, with the consent of the Com^ee on lots, & not elsewhere. Voted. To accept the above report -

Water

Voted. That the com^ee on Lots be authorized to employ an engineer to ascertain the practicability of bringing water from Fresh Pond to Mount Auburn. Voted. To adjourn -

Voted That Mss^rs Isaac Parker & B.A. Gould be a com^ee on finance with all the powers conferred on them by vote June 6, 1842

Voted . That Mess^rs Brimmer, Bigelow & Story be a com^ee on obtaining plans & for a chapel.

Fence

The Com^ee on Lots having reported that they had made a contract with Mss Adams & Wittredge & Cummings, & O.T. Rogers for erecting a fence of stone & iron at the Cemetery for $12,400 to be paid for by instalments
