Trustees. .

Pursuant to notices issued in the usual manner the Trustees met at the office of C.P. Curtis Esquire at . Present Messrs Bigelow, C.P. Curtis, Dixwell, Parker, and Tisdale.

Trees to be trimmed _ underbrush to be removed.

Voted. That Dr Bigelow be requested to instruct Mr Howe to take farther measures to remove under brush and for the trimming of trees &c. as may be necessary for the improvement of the grounds.

Safe.

Voted. That J.J. Dixwell be appointed a committee of one, with full powers to provide a suitable safe for the use of the Secretary in the preservation of his Records &c

Avenues to be finished off.

Voted. That Mr Howe cause two or three of the principal avenues to be finished off in the most approved manner, under the advice of Mr Tisdale, keeping an account of the expense of doing so which shall be reported to this board. Adjourned. A true record Attest. Henry M. Parker. Secretary.

Jonn Preston's claim.

Voted. That Messrs James Read and B.A. Gould be a committee to settle with Mr Jonathan Preston in relation to his claim for compensation in overseeing repairs on the Chapel; it being the opinion of this board however, that one hundred dollars will be an adequate sum to compensate him fully. Adjourned to meet at at this plac[e] A true record. Attest Henry M. Parker Secretary.

Chapel. Repairs on.

Voted _ That Messrs Bigelow & Tisdale be a committee, with authority to cause two of the pinnacles of the chapel to be taken down, and rebuilt under their superintendence, and to make all such other incidental repairs as shall be deemed by them expedient.

Jona Preston's claim -

Voted _ That the committee on the subject of Mr Preston's claim have full authority to settle with him on such terms as they deem proper and just.

Byrant & Blaisdell's claim -

Voted. That Messrs Gould & Read be a committee with full powers to settle with Messrs. Bryant & Blaisdell|Bryant & Blaisdell]] as to their claims on account of the timber fence.

Iron Fence painted

Mr. Tisdale reported verbally that he had caused the iron fence of the cemetery to be painted in [?] a superior manner at the cost of $586.54 only.

Trustees .

Pursuant to notices issued in the usual manner the Trustees met at the office of C.P. Curtis Esqr. on the Presents Messrs Bigelow, Curtis Crockett, Little, Parker, and Read

Officers. election of

The record of the last meeting was read and approved. The meeting at once proceeded to ballot for officers for the ensuing year. The following named gentlemen were severally elected by ballot to the several offices set against their names.

President. Jacob Bigelow Secretary. Henry M. Parker Treasurer. Geo Wm Bond. Committee on Lots. Jacob Bigelow, C.P. Curtis, Isaac Parker. " [Committee] " [on] Finance. B.A. Gould, Charles C. Little. Auditor of accounts. George W. Crockett.

Report on repairs of the Chapel.

Dr. Bigelow; from the committee on the chapel, made an oral report, that an experiment had been made which it was thought would prove effectual to remedy the leaks, but that it could not be certainly known until tested by driving storms. The subject was recommitted to the same gentlemen. Messrs Bigelow & Tisdale

Jona Preston's Claim.

Mr Read, from the committee on Jonathan Preston's claim, reported that they had settled with him in full by the payment of four hundred dollars.

Bryants & Blaisdell's Claim.

Mr Read, from the commiteee on Bryant and Blaisdell's claim, reported that it was still under discussion, but that no definite step had been taken in
