We are so thankful he is better that we have no room to lament the unfortunate part of it financially.

Fred Fribelis has Flue now — All Aunt Slemms family are well & so was Les — according to Curt Y's letter received today — poor Les is all alone in the house. No cook or anything — but we will be back by Wednesday D.U.

Les is to teach in Oakland we hear which is better than Richmond as he had to leave home at 7 a.m. for that. It was very hard in winter. Fond love darling from us all here.

[left margin] Uncle Geralds son Will Pautin III "Bud" has not been heard from since September his parents are in an fury of suspense he was in a artillery Regt I dont know which one. He wrote every week before Sept. If you hear of him lets us know he is from Billings Montana
