I have ordered five dozen copies & will of course send you one or two Miss Alice Ryan says she knows you & she kindly saved for me the official announcement which I went up & got today --- It reads wonderfully Edward dear --- This is what it says. "The Commander in Chief in the name of the President has awarded the distinguished Service Cross to the following named officers and soldiers for the acts of extraordinary heroism described after their names." x x x x x x (a list of nine other follow & then)
