PACIFIC COAST DEPARTMENT H. L. A. BATES, GENERAL AGENT 240 SANSOME STREET SAN FRANCISCO, CAL. The Shawnee Fire Insurance Co. Of Topeka, Kansas

Office: July 2/09

My dear Edward:

I got your letter of the 1st today and was glad to find you were still having such a good time.

I am sorry to find that there is probably a thief among the boys in your camp and I hope that Mr. Fisher will find him, and send him home.

Lesley's address is Gradon's Camp c/o Western Pacific R.R. Oroville Cal

I have addressed your envelope and sent it on to him.

Norman is well and so am I. Dick seems to like his work and apparently will remain until the end of this month.

Lesley will be home about the 12th I suppose as he says he will quit on the 10th.

Lots of love from your loving Father H L A Bates
