Dear Sir,
I have just recd from Mr Chas. R. Messenger of Toledo Ohio, propr of lot 3469, the enclosed orders, with his draft to cover the amount -- $65.00 -- paid in advance, & he desires you to proceed to execute the orders forthwith. $50. for new grading & sodding -- $6. for care of lot & plants, & $9. to be "expended in a few suitable flowers, the selection of which I will leave to your Superintendent's taste."
He intends at some day to enclose the lot with curb, but thinks the expenditures here ordered will greatly improve his lot. --

Treasurer's Quarterly Statement _
The Treasurer submitted his quarterly statement of the condition of the Treasury on the and a trial balance sheet of the books on said date. _ and the same was referred to the Finance Committee.
The Board ratified the action of the Committee on Lots, in making contracts for perpetual repair of lots in the following cases.
Perpetual Repair of Lot 561
With Loyal Lovejoy, proprietor of lot numbered five hundred and sixty one (561) for four hundred and fifty dollars. ($450)
With James Egerton, proprietor of lot numbered thirty seven hundred and sixty seven (3767) for four hundred and fifty dollars ($450)
With John Goldsbury Trustee under the will of Jona Goddard, proprietor of lot numbered thirty six hundred and thirty eight (#3638) for four hundred dollars ($400)
Lot 3140 With Wm Hill Executor of will of Catherine M E Richardson late proprietor of lot numbered thirty one hundred and forty (#3140) for two hundred and fifty dollars ($250).

Your note of is received I do not understand how you could have received an order for care of Lot 4067
In sending the circular the addresses were taken from a catalogue which did not contain a list of the Lots under the perpetual care of the Corporation. You are correct in stating that Jas. Egerton's Lot is Numbered 3767 and also that the Corporation has perpetual care thereof
I am sorry that you were occasioned any trouble in the matter
