Dear Sir,

Your communication to the Board of Trustees respecting the charge for porterage was duly presented at the last meeting by Mr Rand, and was referred to the Committee of Finance with full power, which committee have considered the matter, and directed me to inform you that they cannot see the validity of the charge, and they are of opinion that it should not be paid.

Trustees _

The Monthly meeting of the Trustees was held on Tuesday . at 10 'oClock Am.

There were present the President, Messrs Adams, Austin, Bowditch, Cheever, Lovejoy, Norcross Rand and Read.

The record of the last meeting was read.

Reply to Resolutions and death of C. C. Little _ to be filed _

The Secretary read a communication from George C. Little in reply to the resolution of this Board upon the decease of Mr Charles C. Little, passed at the last meeting: which was ordered to be placed on file.

Removal of Trees _

Voted that the Committee on Grounds be requested to direct the removal of all trees which have been thrown down or essentially damaged by the gale of Wednesday th.

Proprietors of lots injured by gale to be notified _

Voted. That the Superintendent when the trees shall have been removed, be directed to notify all proprietors whose lots have received injury of such injury.

Claim for porter-age referred to Com. of Finance _

A communication from Frank Hodgkinson respecting a claim for porterage in connection with the rent bills of office at No 16 Pemberton Square, was referred to the Committee on Finance.
