Mary still not here, though her last-week’s money is and has been on my desk since Friday.
Opus 2; drove out to get my Walkman lubricated or repaired; left it in shop, but then decided that I needed a spare. Bought a $120 (for $100 plus tax) Aiwa HS-P07. Sounds good. This way – if I get the Sony back, repaired- I’ll never be without a machine.
Read some 70 pages of Legs; am disappointed, so far, on what seems to be a tough talk gangster story. My hope is that it will gather steam as it moves ahead.
Alas, on my two-mile walk and found the cassette played defective; walking jogged it off and on. Must take it back tomorrow.
