Saturday January 7th 1826

First part light winds and clear. Latter part fresh winds and cloudy. Saw several whales. Killed one and took him along side and parted the [hasser?] [sared?] the whole squaly [squally] rain.

Sunday January 8th 1825 [1826]

First part light winds and rain. Got the whale along side and cut him in. Latter part light winds and pleasant from the W.

Monday January 9th 1826

First part light winds and fine weather. Later part rugged. Stowed down 100 bls of oil in the after hatch and saw a few whales.

First part a fine breeze and clear from the N West. Stear [steer] WN West and S West for the main bank. Middle part calm and foggy. Latter part light wind and cloudy from the N East. Stear WN West saw nothing.

Friday January 13th 1826

These 24 hours light winds and cloudy from the southward and East ward. First part stear WN West. Saw whales. Killed one and cut him in.

These 24 hours light winds and fine weather. Spoke the [Scepter?]. Latter part saw whales. Killed one and cut him in. So ends.

First part light winds and pleasant from the southward. Saw plenty of whales. Hot a bug stunt and cut him in. Middle and latter part fresh winds from the Northward and stear SS W.
