Then boile againe all those druggs in e
said Liquoris untill one third part be
boiled away, then streine it and putt
it in an earthen pipkin fitting for the
Quantity and soo sett itt to the fire againe
and then putt in Ruburbe and againe an i
sene ii let it boile softly 3 or 4 [wames]
then take itt from the fire and let it stand
to keepe in that pipkin and let the Rhubarb
sene, and Agaric, remaine therein and
for your drink is fully made

In stead of makeing it this way for the
manner of a purge you must boile the
herbes as you doe hops: for Beer and
when they are coole againe putt in 2
spices, and put them alltogether in a
bagge and let it hang in a vessell of
Beer with a weight in it and after
10 or 12 dayes steeping in the Beer, drink
of itt a good draght in e Morneing
