for spitinge of blood

Make water grewell with Charity choped small, & let it
be your breake fast everie morninge

An Exelent syrup for a stickinge cough

Take A quart of Runninge water; & halfe a handfull of the
topps & leaves of penniroyall; boyle it then to halfe; then let
it run through a cloth with out squeezinge it; & boyle it with
sugar to a syrup drinke it morning & eveninge as hot as you
can indure it

for the ptisick

Take a hanful of bettony & boyle it in 3 pints of new milk
lett it stand all night & the next day drinke it warme
& take of it 3 or 4 dayes

for a stuffinge

Halfe a pint of Hysop water as much whit wine a handfull of
brambbleleaves, put in A litle licoraiss & anniseede briused, boyle
them & put thereto 2 o℥ of hard sugar

To stay vomitinge in any sicknesse

Take the disstilled water of mint of life & drinke it warmed
with a litle sugar & nutmegg, or burne Clalret wine & lett
it bee stronge of the mints

to Rid phlegme

Take 30 leaves of mercary, 60 of sorrell 10 of borage
30 of violats, 30 of mallowes; boyle these in a quart of water
to a pint & make either Almond millke or aposset therewith &
drinke the posset all

for ye bloody fluxe

Take 3 or 4 dropps of ye oyle of Juniper berries in a litle
Cleere wine give the patient as much Diascordium as a nut
megg maide up in pills with a litle sugar when hee goes to bed
if you would stay it sudenly give it in a draught of
sorrell, lichoras or borrage water
