Halfe a pownd of the fine powder of Liquorish
serced Juyce of coltsfoot a wine pint Juyce of
hysope a quarter of a pint Juyce of rose mary Flowers
2 ounces clarifie your Juyces & put in the
Powder of Licorish with halfe a pound of loaf
suger candy serced halfe a pint of Damask
rose water boyle it til it be indifferent stiff
stiring it put into it halfe a pound of very fine suger
serced & 6 grains of Ambergreice let it
boyle til it will role between your fingers
make it into cakes roling it with suger
if you put your rosemary Flowers in to the
rose water after they are brused it will doe
as well as to Juyce them

Elecampany roots 2 handfuls boyle it in
water till it be tender cutt it like smal Dice
then boyle it againe in Hott water a quarter of an
Hower take coltsfoot Liverwort Agrimony Harts
[bong] each 2 handfuls maidenhare one unsett
hysope quarter Handful china roots sliced an
ounce Licorish sliced 2 ounces Annis seed &
sweet fennel seed each a spoonful raisins a
handful 15 Juiubes 8 dates 5 Figgs sliced
French Barly a spoonful boye thes in 2 quarts
of running water til more then halfe be consumed
strain it & put to it a pound & a halfe of madera
suger almost to a syrope then put in the
elecampany & boyle it up
