On one tecpatl they left Colhuacan, with four people bearing the devil on their backs. The first person was named Cuauhcohuatl. The second was named Apanecatl. The third was named Tezacacohuacatl, and the fourth was named Chimalman.

BEM: the text uses the Spanish word "diablo" to refer to the sacred bundle of Huitzilopochtli that the Mexica carry out of Aztlan.
I thought diablo referred to Huitzilopochtli himself.
