Gentlemen:-
I beg to herewith tender my resignation as patrollman of the City of Fort Worth. In retiring from the force I desire to thank your Honorable body for many acts of kindness and favors, shown me which in your service And especially do I desire to return thanks to the retiring Police Committee for its kindness and generosity toward my, I also beg to express my gratitude to the City Marshall and his efficient force of officers. He and they have at all times been kind and courteous and have shown my every consideration
It pleases me to say that my connection with the City department has at all times been pleasant to me, and I sincrely hope that it has not been unpleasant to those with and under whom I labored
Again returning thanks for your many forces, and assuring you of my high regard I am

Resolved that the superintendent of the water works be and is hereby requested to investigate the cost and expenses of street sprinklers operating an electric street sprinkler to be run on the tracks of the streets railway of the city.
