Fort Worth, Tex. 6/21/98

To the Hon. Mayor & City CouncilGentlemen-

Your petitioner W.C. French would respectfully represent that he is the owner of lots 6 & 9 in Block B. Bellevue HIll Addition- that he has paid the taxes thereon for the year 1897 and all previous years thereto except 1896- that through some inadvertanse said lots appeared for said year upon the unknown lost and the taxes thereon aount to $5.25 that there has been taxes against said property in addition to said amount, costs of $2.50 on each lotwhen both of said lots should appear in one rendition and only one cost be charged-wherfore your petitioner prays that one of said costs be remitted; and that he be allowed to pay his tax and one cost in full settlement.

Be it Resolved,

We, Your Committee, on Finance recommend that the petition of W.C. French be granted and that the assr & collector be authorized to accept taxes on Lots 6&9 Blk B. Bellvue Hill addition for year 1896 with one cost on the two lots.
