Gentlemen
Your water works department has cut a ditch through my premises greatly injuring my land, as I do not wish to trouble the city, I hereby make this proposition. I am owing some back taxes to the City and if you will cancel the taxes you can have the use of the ditch

The undersigned respectfully represent:
1. That he is Guardean of the property of the Minor Charles Moran
2. That he was unavoidaby absent from the last meeting of the City Equalising [bord] which held its final meeting yesterday
3. That Lot 6 in Block 59 in said City has Recently become the property of said Minor
4. That Taxes for 1895 - 1896 & 1897 Amounting in the [agngible?] to $213.65 be an exorbitant valuation are due & unpaid on said lot A Memorandum of which is hereto attached Marked "A"
5 Petitioner prays that you give such re- duction on said valuation & Taxes a may be just & proper & he will forthwith pay at [??] & he will ever pay.
