Hon Mayor and City Council. Gentlemen

Your petitioner respectfully states that he served the city for serveral years as Sanitary Policeman, and felt that the length of time he served, is a recommendation as to his fitness for the office, as there is to be a vacancy in the office of Sanitary Police I hereby make application for the position and feel confident I can give you entire satisfaction which I at all times will endeavor to do.
