We, Your Committee, on Finance recommend that the petition of H. Morehous be granted, and that the Assessor & Collector be authorized and instructed to accept taxes on said stock and fixtures on a valuation of $500 as rendered.

Gentlemen-
In rendering my taxes for the year 1897 the assessor made an error in assessing lot 9 Block 2 union Depot addition I own lots 9 & 10 in Block 2 both unimproved but the assessor understood there was a house on Lot 9 Lot 10 was assesset $250.00 Lot 9 should be same but was placed at 1100.00 The difference due me is $11.38 which I hope you may see fit to refund I did not discover the error until rendering for this year as I have been a non resident
