To the Mayor and the honorable members of the city council of the city of Fort Worth
Gentlemen.
I wish to lay before your honorable body a statement of facts regarding my city tax and my relation to the city of Fort Worth.
I live on the extremem southern limit of the city. I have never had water privilege, sewer connection, Police protection, Fire protection, and there is not a city light or gravil street within nearly half a mile of my house. There is a 40 acre pasture between my house and my nearest city neighbor
To this statement of acts I attach a yearly statement from the city assessor and collector and ask you gentlmen, if you do not think that it is exorbetant, and out of all proportion to the benefits received.
Therefore gentlemen, I most humbly pray for relief from such part of my city tax as you in your righteous judgment shall decide.
And as I have no means of paying my tax except by selling a part of my home, I earnestly pray that it be not sold till I can sell a part of it and pay what you consider just and right
Hoping Gentlemen a favorable consideration at your hands I remain your mosst obedient
