1.lb.1/2 flour _3/4 sugar, 4 eggs, five tablespoonsful of Cream,^{or a lump of Butter} a Teaspoonful of pearlash, dissolved in vinegar - a little nutmeg, and mace -- drop them with a spoon,

2.lbs of pear, 1lb 1/2. Butter, 1 lb of sugar, good weight, 8 Eggs - 2 of the whites left out, mace or nutmeg, Drop them with a spoon, on tin sheets
