Vacation has begun till Apr. 2nd! Good day. Wheeled
to school going through the Fens, 6 1/2 m. This P.M. Chittendon
& I wheeled to Roxbury where I stopped at Dr. Kennedy's to
hear about the travellers. They returned in 3 wks. Then
over to Brookline where we stopped at Volkman's a
few minutes. The home by Brighton Bridge to the house
distance 11 m. Went back with C. as far as Beacon St.
over Harv. Bridge, 6 m. Total 23 1/2 m. Feel finely.
Distributed Eggerts plants this evening. Letter
from Mrs. Owen enclosing one to her from Dr.
Morong. He is very weak, poor man.

Rain all day. I have worked steadily at my
plants all day and evening. I expanded my whole
Herb. using my new cases, and I have been
putting in Hellers, Smalls & Kearneys plants,
adopting their names to the Man. No light job.
I have accomplished lots to-day. I received
by mail a photo from Barnes, Easter greeting.
It represents an Ice fleet ready to race.
