Reverend Howard P. Kellett 1 Joy Street Boston, Massachusetts

Dear Mr. Kellett:

Dr. Van Waters has the power of attorney for an elderly prisoner, Catherine Castle; there is also a joint savings a/.c at the Farmers & Mechanics Saving Bank in Framingham. The money in the account is to pay Catherine's burial expenses upon her death. Any funds remaining are to be used to purchase books for the library at the Reformatory.

I am sending you the statement of power of attorney, and the bank book. Dr. Van Waters thought if they were in your safe-keeping it would be better than if they were held anywhere in the institution.

Sincerely,
