My dear Catharine,

H^ere it is a holida, in fact Jackie has been off school since Wednesday afternoon and remaing away until Tuesday. I have begged Florence to ride to Framingham with me, but always an excuse. I fear she is afraid for you to see how she has gained weight.

Take a look at the enclosed. Although my face is not clear it will give you an idea of how much weight I too have put-on in the past 2 yrs. Almost 40 lbs, as I was down to 124.

Florence as you know was never over 90 lbs; now she is 140, believe it or not.

Jackie my darling, is over 4 feet in fact 4-3 or 4 and weights about 80 lbs. How I would love to visit you, and I will soon.

Joe remains in the far West. At present at Campt Moses, state of Washington.

Catharine it seems that all the old ones have either died or on the "lost" list. I never hear anything from anybody of the old crowd in Boston. George returned to the West, and crying more than ever. He hates to be broke, but I continue to warn him to take no chances.

How foolish he is, in good health etc; not to try a small business. I know he cant get rich that way, but he is safe, and at his age, or in fact any age it pays to be safe.

Catherine(/)s I have close to $1000. due me from Engalnd, but cant get it. Now if you were going to England, I would give you an order for all of it. I just finished writing those in Brighton, Eng; who owe me the money saying; "If they will try to but three rounds trip tickets on a British steamer, from New York and return, I will visit them this summer. I guess you know that no-body in England dare send out of the country more than $20.00.

Just has a letter from Mrs. Humphris, informing me of the death of Dr. Humphris; He is one of the many I studied under in Europe back in 1930.

Do, Catharine try to have Mrs. Lorthrop or somebody to drop me a post-card saying "All is well with you."

Love from all.
