Waldrof Salad

1 stalk celery 4 apples plain mayonnaise

Cut celery into small pieces; add chopped apples. Mix 2 tbsp. of sugar with mayonnaise Stir in above mixture. Serve on lettuce leaf. Chopped nuts may be added if desired.

Oatmeal Cookies

4 Tbsp. of fat 1/2 cup of sugar 1 egg 4 Tsp. of sour milk 1/2 cup rolled oats 1 cup of flour speck of salt 1 tsp. of baking powder 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Mix ingredients as for butter cakes, adding rolled oat to dry ingredients. Drop by spoonfuls on greased pans. Bake in a moderate oven from 12 to 15 minutes.
