Mrs. Fall's Molasses Cake
1 egg ¼ to ½ C. lard !
½ C. sugar
½ C. mollasses
Cinnamon + nutmeg + salt
2 t. soda (beaten in molasses)
2 C. flour or less
½ C. boiling water last
Not too thick
Sprinkle sugar on top.

Potato Pumpkin Pie
Mix together ½ C. sugar, 1 cup of
creamy mashed potato (ready to serve)
2 t. molasses or corn syrup, pinch
of salt, ¼ t. each of cinnamon,
+ ginger, 1 pint of scalded milk
+ 2 eggs beaten.
Bake in unbaked shell same as
ordinary pumpkin Pie until firm.
