Resolved, that the waves of the vestry be
signed to the the appeakl, and that it be printed and
mailed to the members of the congregation.
Notice was given by the Rector that the
Hymn Table, presented by M. Peyton R. Carrington
had arrived, had been erected
upon the South Wall of the church in the
central panel on either side of the chaucel
had been used for the first time last Sunday
and had given general satisfaction.
On motion the following resolutions were
unanimously adopted
Resolved, that the hearty thanks of this vestry
be extruded to W.P.R. Carrington for his generous
donation of two handsom hymn tablets
for the walls of St: John's Church.
Resolved, that the vestry take this occasion
to acknowledge gratefully the affectionate
interest in St: John's which M. Carrington
has shown ever since he became a
member of the congregation.
Resolved that these resolutions be spread
upon the minutes and that a copy be sent
to M. Carrington.
Resolved, that the Rector, Wanrdens, M.
Joseph R, Roane and M. F. MAyer as
superintendent of the Sunday-School,
with the latter as chairman, be a committee
on improvement of the Sunday-School laid
during, with authority to proceed with such
improvement as they can secure for
a sum not to exceed 721.07, that being
the ammount published by the Church
Union for the purpose.
