F.F. Webber, Esq., Jamaica Plain,

Dear Sir: -

I enclose you a corrected bill for setting out bulbs last year. If you had reason to suppose that the bill would be but $1.00 I will abate the bill to that amount, but to prevent misundeerstanding hereafter I will say that I find that with the labor, covering with manure and uncovering in the Spring the work cannot be done for less than $2.00.

Respectfully yours,

Supt.

Eugene B. Hager, Esq., Boston.

Dear Sir: -

The foundation for the monument was built before your note was received. I will have some grass seed sown in the grave and on the lot and think there will be an improvement.

Respectfully yours,

Supt.

Dear Sir: -

I have examined your lot as requested and find that to clean the marble will cost $4.50 and to clean the granite curbing will cost $4.50. To regrade enrich and resode the lot will cost $52.00, or if only seeded $35.00. To reset the granite curbing as needed and relead the joints will cost $20.00. The border stones on the avenue line and the two buttresses at the outer ends of these are very difficult to keep in place and as they are not needed there I would advise their removal. If these four stones are removed the resetting and leading can be done for $10.00 and the old stone.

Respectfully yours,

Supt.

Dear Madam: -

Regarding your order to regrade and sod lot #1474 without waiting for the stone work to be erected I will say that if done in this way the work will have be be done over again afterwards as however careful the workmen may be in setting the stone it is not possible to do wo without destroying the sod.

Respectfully yours,

Supt.

G. Blandin Esq.

Dear Sir:

By vote of the Trustees I am instructed to do no work on any lot until all charges for previous years have been paid. A bill of $3.75 is still unpaid for plants furnished in 1890.

Yours Resp'y. J. W. Lovering Sup't. per F.A. B.

Dear Sirs: -

A short time ago you made the enquiry as to how the Ross lawn moweres were working but at that time the work was not begun. We have begun cutting grass but a few days and already the machines are breaking through defective castings. The trouble appears to be with the small inside driving cog.

Respectfully yours,

Supt.

Mrs. C. A. Chickering, Boston.

Dear Madam: -

The expense of painting the fence on your lot with two coats of dark green paint will be $25.00. I do not think however that with part of the fence painted with asphalatum a very good piece of work can be made. I would suggest finishing out the fence with asphalatum and two years from now when it is worn off painting with green.

Respectfully yours,

Supt:
