Dear Madam,

I perceive by the will of your late husband, you are made not only the Executrix, but also the residuary devisee of his estate; under which position (as no other clause in the will relates to it) the lot in the Cemetery of Mount Auburn, which is declared by our Charter to be real estate, passes to you in fee.-

In accordance, therefore, with said provision in the charter and our bylaws on the subject, you are hereby apprised that it will be proper, if you desire the recognition of such transfer, to have a record made of it upon the Special Transfer records of the Corporation.

If you decide to have the record made send the deed of the lot, and I will also certify thereon to the record.

The fee is the usual one of $1.00.

Very resp. yours

33 School St. Boston,

Mr S.S. Perkins,

Sir,

Sometime since, at your request, I took a bill which you owe the Corporation, to confer with the proper officers about a reduction of the charge, and soon after notified you that I was prepared to answer you: but you have taken no notice of my answer that I am aware of.-

If you were ready to settle the bill, as you professed to be, I trust you will make it manifest, as it is more than a year old, and must be paid.

Yours resp.y

A.J. Coolidge Sec.y Propr of Cemetery of Mount Auburn

Jos. B. Glover Esq Exor Est. Winthrop Ward

Dear Sir,

I perceive by the will of the late Mr Ward, that he directs the reconveyance of his lot in Mount Auburn Cemetery to our Coporation, with a limitation of the burial right, and that $300 be given to the Trustees to keep said lot in perpetual repair.

Shall I follow the usual course on all contracts with living persons, and bring the matter before the Committee on Lots who are charged with all contracts of this nature, and if they see no objection to accepting also trust the manner and for the amount indicated by Mr Ward, are you prepared to execute the needful papers?

Very Resp.y yours A.J. Coolidge Sec.y Proprs Cem. Mt. Au

Dear Sir,

I see not impropriety in considering that Lot 790 in Mount Auburn, in accordance with your wish, passed directly to your son Wells, Mr. Mr Wells. But as he the sole heir at law of this late father which I was not aware of I sent the blank petition, that form becomes unneccessary and instead thereof he is entitled to file his affidavit that he is sole heir at law, which as is noted upon our records and the name entered in the catalogue.

I have therefore prepared said affidavit, and if he will call at this office. I need desire him but in short time . The [?] fee therefor is $1.-

Very respy yours A.J. Coolidge

Dear Madam,

I have drawn up a document as nearly in accordance with our conversation and your supposed wishes as I have been able to make it.

I was not quite sure of the Christian name of your sister, and you will see that I have inserted it in pencil.

If it is satisfactory, I will wait upon you at your house, or you can come down, as you prefer.- If you desire any further alterations I shall be happy to listen to what you may wish.

If you should come down prepared to finish, you will need your policy, and the deed of the lot.

Very respl.y yours A.J. Coolidge

John Burroughs Esq. Germantown, Pa.

Dear Sir,

Yours of 16th came to hand Saturday. As you are residuary legatee of Wm Burroughs, his lot in Mount Auburn, will thereby pass to you, a record of which devise should be made on our Special Transfer Record.

As I find a copy of the will filed in the Probate office in this county, I have all the materials necessary for such record. If you wish me to record it, and certify to your title, please send me the deed of the lot, and I will return the same property authenticated. The regular fee therefor is $1.

Very resp.y yours A.J. Coolidge Sec.y Mt Auburn

33 School St. Boston Eugene A. Fisher Esq

Dear Sir,

I was not before aware that you were the sole heir at law of Willard N. Fisher, which being the case, the designation of yourself as representative of lot 892 in Mount Auburn becomes unnecessary. But another course is indicated in our by-laws, which is for you to file with the Corporation an affidavit that you are the sole heir at law of the late propr that your title may appear on our records and in the catalogue.

I shall be prepared to receive such affidavit at any time you may call on me. The regular fee therefor is $1.

Respectfully yours A.J. Coolidge Sec.y

Dr. Richardson

Sir, In the order for the interment of your late wife, Mrs. Mary Richardson, in the lot of [Symuel?]Gardner, in Mt. Auburn, , the blank for her age was not filled. Thinking there had been neglect on the part of the undertaker, or town clerk, I wrote to each of them, and learned that one of them you "could not tell", and the other you refused to tell, if the reply "no matter" "no consequence" is to be thus construed.-

As it is not only our wish but our duty to make our Register of Interments complete in every particular, where it is possible to do so, I must

request that you will furnish us with the desired information. I should be very unwilling to suppose you had any motive for withholding this information, as I am not aware of any such case of refusal ever before occurring. and we should prefer to believe that this is a mistake about this.-

We wish to close our record for the year, at once, and trust you will furnish this fact for our Register; or we shall be obliged to note in the place where it should be stated such information as has already been furnished as a reason for the omission.

Yours respectfully
