Translation

Larissa lies among marshes and swamps,
surrounded by lands deserted until that place,
the ill-fated and justly-rebuked valley
that was punished by God with fire.1Sodom
Here is a high mountain, and then the flanks
of Mount Sinai, a little north of this point,
on top of which the Divine Law was given [to Moses]
and where Saint Catherine [of Alexandria] is buried.

Halfway between Larissa and Beirut
is the port 2Jaffa of the Holy LandJerusalem
that should be the seat of the one
who claims to be the leader of the Christians,
where the High King holds his throne
who made the work3we are unsure what this refers to that is sung about every day--
where the Holy Sepulcher of Jesus is
and where he was crucifixed for us.

This Zion 4another name for Jerusalem is the capital of Judea
towards the East, a little to the righthand side .
On the lefthand side*ie., to revisit; super confusing is Galilee
and to the east of that is the Jordan River.
On the righthand side, Caesarea comes next,
and Acre, Tyre, Sidon, and Mount Lebanon,
where the river issues from two sources.
Here is Mount Carmel and other holy mountains.
