Translation

Larissa is surrounded by marshes and swamps,
among lands that are deserted until you reach
the ill-fated and justly-rebuked valley,
the place that was punished by God with fire.1Sodom.
Here there is a high mountain, and then a little further north
are the flanks of Mount Sinai,
on top of which the Divine Law was issued2That is, given by God to Moses.
and Saint Catherine [of Alexandria] is buried.

Halfway between Larissa and Beirut
is the port2The port city of Jaffa or Joppa. of the Holy Land.
This should be the property of the one
who claims to be the leader of the Christians.3This is probably criticism of contemporary popes' failure to call a Crusade to reclaim the Holy Land.
This is where the High King [David] held his throne,
who made the work that is sung every day.4In the Middle Ages King David was assumed to be the author of the Psalms, which were recited and sung as part of the "work" of daily devotional practice.
This is also where the Holy Sepulcher of Jesus is
and where he was crucified for us.

This is Zion 5Another name for Jerusalem., the capital of Judea,
toward the East and a little to the right.
To the left of that is Galilee
and to the east of that is the Jordan River.6Here Dati is mixing cardinal directions (i.e. east or west) with relative directions (i.e. right or left).
Along the coast lies Caesarea7>> e a marina (Urb Lat 752)
as well as Acre, Tyre, Sidon, and Mount Lebanon,
where the river8I.e. the Jordan. issues from two sources.
Here lie Mount Carmel and other holy mountains.

towards the East, a little to the righthand side .
On the lefthand side*ie., to revisit; super confusing is Galilee
and to the east of that is the Jordan River.
On the righthand side, Caesarea comes next,
and Acre, Tyre, Sidon, and Mount Lebanon,
where the river issues from two sources.
Here is Mount Carmel and other holy mountains.
