The request of the applicants
was granted in so far as the building
of a fish-way was concerned and
after some years of trial it was
represented to your Department that
the fish-way was insufficient such
useless for the purposes for which it
was intended whereupon your
Department instructed the undersigned
to inspect the dam and fish-pass
and to report upon its usefulness
or otherwise.
