Sun Feb 14 A disagreeable day
but clear most of the time but a
very cold south wind. We visited
most of the time with 3 English
ladies from Collins.

Mon Feb 15 Pretty but quite
cold. Lew and Alex went to town
this morning. Lew to get some corn
and Alex to see Will Hawley.
Lew got 22 70 lbs corn at 80
cts pr [per] hund [hundred]. Alex didnt come
home until most night.
This afternoon we hauled a load
of hay for the sheep. Mr Thornton
and another Gent were here.

Tues Feb 16 1899
A little warmed to day [today] but thaws pretty
slow. Alac went to town this forenoon.
Got his money of Bill Hawley. Lew and I
hauled two loads of hay for the steers
and we all there worked at the
racks this afternoon. Saw Mr Mead
to night he talks ditch pretty fair.
