Sir,

Regarding the within letter from Mr Moore of Magog transferred to me from your Dept. I beg to state that a letter of like contents was received by me from Mr. Moore on the 10th inst. which I had supposed was forwarded to your Dept. in a letter to you of 11th inst. It appears however that this letter of 11th inst. was mislaid on my desk. I now send it, as it will contain my views relative to the enquiries made by Mr Moore for stocking his hatchery with eggs.

I am of opinion that some improvements are necessary at the Magog Hatchery by which a larger and more certain supply of water would be obtained for feeding the breeding troughs for salmon trout and the automatic breeding jars for white-fish.
