24^th 1^st mo 4^th day
Snowed all day, 'till after night it rained. At meetings.

25^th 5^th day
Cloudy all day: father took me to Uncle Samuels in
the morning, I came home with William in the afternoon.
William at the Lyceum in the evening, to
the Circle: Cousin Roger Brooke had his toe
taken off today.

26^th 6^th day
Cloudy part of the day: Joe went for Lucy, they
got home a little after 5 oclock: father went over
into Howard county to take a sewing machine in
the morning, in the woods and at Uncle Samuels
after dinner: William went to Washington: Isaac
Briggs spent the day here.

27^th 7^th day
Cloudy day: father went to Dr. Palmers in the
morning, and brought Fannie Adams home with
him. William got home from town about 8 oclock
Joe went to Ashton after supper.
Perhaps if I would note down all my failings
during the day, as I used to do, it might help me, in
reading them over, I might find some help guard
against the same again: I had him hoping
