Clear day: father came home from Baltimore at noon, went to
Ashton in the afternoon, then to William Moores to supper:
Lucy went to the Cottage in the morning to the
Association / it was in the afternoon / came to the
Lyceum in the evening and then home: Joe and
William both at the Reading Circle.

23d 6th day
Clear day: father in the woods all day, getting timber
ready for John Abels house. William went to Washington.
Lucy and I walked to Rockland in the morning
to dine with cousin Margaret Hollowell Lucy went on to Olney in the
afternoon, I came home.

24th 7th day
A very rainy day. William got home about half past 8
from Washington: killed a beef in the morning: father
went to the woods, but it rained too much to wash, get
three hens from Rachel Bellows

25th 1st day
Clear day: quite cold. Lucy came to meeting from
Olney and home; Roger Farquhar and Eddie Taylor
dined here. William at Bentleys after supper.
