28o Cloudy E Ther. Wed. Feb. 25, 1885 Wea

Snow 6 inches deep this morning Charly Cole brought his wife for advice & med; for "sore throat" before I was up. I took C. down to the Store after dinner, and went after him again at supper-time in the sleigh with "Fritz". The sleighing is excellent but I fear will not last long. Little Edward remained in bed all day having been very "croupy" all through last night.

30° Cloudy Ther. Thurs. Feb. 26th, 1885 Wea.

Willie did go to school Afternoon Alice & Fannie Peirce called & took Dora over to "Norwood" to a meeting of some kind. Mrs Elizabeth Leizens here for advice and treatment. John Hall here for advice & med: for little girl. Miss Lizzie Scott calle. Edwd in bed until about 3 p.m. Ernest came in sleigh and remained to tea & spent the evening here.

32° Cloudy Variable Ther. Fri. Feb. 27, 1885 Wea.

After dinner I took Harriet over to Riverside and Homewood in the sleigh- Tho & Beulah Lea called here. The sleighing is about done for the present at least.

31. Cloudy & Clearing S.W. Ther. Sat. Feb. 28th, 1885 Wea.

Singleton Mitchell here for advice & med for Josias Bower. I drove to Ashton after dinner and took C down & went again to see Kate Stabler who paid her bill. I mended the wheelbarrow & put tire bolts in Charley's buggy at Marlow's shop. Charely rode the roan mare down to Ashton after tea.

33. Cloudy & Rain SE Ther. Sun. March 1, 1885 Wea.

Bro. Rich'd called on his way to Meeting. Rachael Thomas here for advice & medicine. Disagreeable rainy day. After dinner Charley & Willie drove over to Riverside & did not return until after William S Bond called for advice & for his son, Charles, who has "mumps"

26 Clear N.W. Ther. Mon. March 2d., 1885 Wea.

Cold again Jno Hall called & paid me one dollar. After dinner I drove C down to Ashton & got some medicines & paid toll bill for "Sligo pike gate" $1.84. Alice & Fanny Peirce came to spend the night & go to a "Sociable" at Ingleside " I drove their horse & carriage to Ashton & bought some dried beef. I went to Frank Leizears & prescribed for his wife. After supper Charley took Dora & Alice Peirce to "Ingleside" driving Jumbo

31o Cloudy & Clearing Ther. Tues. March 3d, 1885 Wea.

Alice & Fanny Peirce remained until after dinner. Willie rode to school but came home at noon, there being no school in the afternoon & "holiday" all the rest of the week; many of the pupils & teachers going to the "inauguration" of Cleveland the first Democratic president for 24 years. Washwoman here. Afternoon I went to Frank Leizear's & prescribed for Mrs L again. I am much "put out" at the cutting down of trees in the lot between us & the mill, spoiling the "park" for a little fire wood. Frank Snowden & Ernest came in the evening, the former to play whist.

29 Cloudy & Clearing (variable) Ther. Wed. March 4th, 1885 Wea.

Charley & Willie, Ernest and Augustus Bulwar left here at 6. o'clk this a m for Washington to witness the inauguration of Grover Cleveland as President of the U.S. Mrs Bell here for advice & med: and Mrs. Elijah Leizear for treatment &c. I drove to Wm S Bond's & prescribed for his son Chas: who has "mumps". Afternoon I went to Ashton in the "Spider" for flour etc. Harriet was obliged to go to bed with headache before suppertime. We could see the "fireworks" in Washington quite plainly from the trapdoor in the roof of our house, and enjoyed it very much.

32o Cloudy and Clearing. S E Ther. THURS, MARCH 5, 1885 Wea.

I mended horse blanket for Fritz - afternoon I sent Dora in the carriage to a meeting of young ladies at Estelle Moore's after which I drove to W S Bond's and Fritz slipped and injured his leg again in the old place. Mrs. Isaac Harts home and sister called Mrs. Elijah Leizear here again for treatment etc.

30. Cloudy and Clearing S E Ther. FRI .MARCH 6, 1885

Ernest left for house this morning I drove "Jumbo" to Wm S Bond's. they sending for me again about 8.o'clk Roads are sloppy and muddy making traveling unpleasant Dora and Nelly walked over to "Fulford " and called, carrying the baby with them. The boys being very tired from their "Inauguration" tramp we all retired early. Edward went to school to day for the first time in several weeks past
