Ther: 35 degrees Cloudy Wind Variable
Thursday, March 27th, 1890
I felt very unwell all day having
taken cold when out in the rain
on Tuesday night. Chas E Bond
called for medicine for his mother.
Blackwell Shelton also called to
see after his return from the "Eye
Ear & Throat Hospital" with a letter
from Dr. Russell Murdock. Charley
drove down below Spencerville
before dinner & to Jim Hills etc after
noon. Richard I Lea & wife were
here for an hour this afternoon.
Minnie Iddings & her Bro: louis
were also here for a short time.
Phil Robison came over & played
checkers with Edward.
After supper Charley went away
again (to Wm Brown's)

Ther: 54 degrees Cloudy & Rain Wind Variable
Friday, March 28th, 1890
Heavy rain early this morning &
showery until towards noon when it
partially cleared off and commenced
blowing a gale first from the South and
then S.W. & finally N.W. Mr Cunningham's
son came up with a note from Dr. Lewis
requesting either myself or Charley to
come down & meet him in the case of
Frank Cunningham who had suffered
from hemorrhage of the bowels and
was extremely ill. Charley drove
down (12 miles at least) and home
about 3.p.m. I am afraid young
Cunningham will not last much longer.
I am still feeling miserable but
not quite as bad as yesterday.
The wind blew with great violence
the greater part of the afternoon.
