Beautiful day: the friends
at the "little meeting" held their
Annual meetiing to day quite
a number of friends from Balto:
and others 10 from a distance were
there. Alice Peirce came whilst
we were at breakfast this morning
and Dora, Alice Fanny Charley
& Edward all went down to
the meeting. Alice & Fanny went
home about 3.oclk p.m.
After supper Charley took his
mother & Dora in Mr Crosby's buggy
"Dayton" up to Brighton church
the Bishop is to be there and
there are several to be "confirmed"
Dora among the number. I am
glad she feels her way clear to
become a member of the Episcopal
Church. I was left alone in the
house except Edward and he
went in next door whilst I
went to Saml Leizear's to dress
a cut in his little girl's forehead
above the right eye brow.
It was not a severe injury but
she was exceedingly difficult
to manage & it required much
patience & some force to accomplish
it. Harriet & the children
came home from Brighton church
at 10.oclk p.m. Edwd & I having
gone to sleep on sofa in the dining
room before they came.

Another beautiful day. Charley
went to the "little meeting" again
there being public worship held there
in the morning. Mr: Philip Crosby &
his sisters & cousin left Mrs. Robinson's
for home after an early dinner.
I went over & had a pleasant talk
with them before they left. Charley
took my "road cart" to Fletcher
Clark's shop to have tires cut and
his own buggy to Wm Oldfield's to
have some repairs to it. I drove
down to see Rosena Bowen.
Saml J. Leizear called to see me.
[Wishol] Dorsey's daughter came for
"more ointment" for Sarah Hammond.
Charley went over to see Branson
Cook's wife again & to see "Dick"
Addison about his horse & was
successful in finding him at
home this time. Martha Ann
Wright sent for more medicine
Jno Grimes sent me 2 bushels of
2d size potatoes, his boys bringing
them after dark.
