Clear Ther. WED. DEC. 6th,, NW Wind

Bright & clear & I believe it will prove to be the coldest morning we have had. when we hear from those Records kept by early risers. There was one sleigh out, (at least) it came to the Mill from "down on the Manor" Somewhere. It seemd hard to keep the house warm early this morning Edwd: Rode "Frank" to Ashton for capsules. Lizzie Scott called to see Dora I wrote to Willie.

Cloudy Ther. 26o THURS. DEC. 7th,, 1893 S.E. Wind

I am not feeling quite as well; my feet and legs swelling again which is not a good sign by any means after once having subsided. Mrs Eliza Moore called & left some nice sausage. Bro: Chas: was here and got me to give him a prescription for "Little Black Pills" for Lizzie. he also brought us a "chine", they having killed their hogs yesterday.

Clear Ther. 22o FRI. DEC. 8, 1893 Wind S.E. Clear & frosty this morning I am feeling somewhat better than for some days past. After dinner I smoked my first pipe, and found it "did me good" as I enjoyed a good "nap" afterward Alice & Beatrix Tyson called and I enjoyed their call, they are always bright & pleasant company.

Rain & Sleet Ther. 30o SAT. DEC. 9th, 1893 Wind S & E Very raw, chilly & disagreeable out of doors & dull & depressing everywhere. Edwd bought some bran at the mill for "Frank" horse and Frank Robison brought it down to the house for us. I am afraid the horse is not quite well as he does not seem to drink as well as he should.

Afternoon Bro: Chas & sister Lizzie called & later on Clifford Walters was brought to me with his right shoulder dislocated, Philip Stabler brought him in his carriage & rendered me valuable assistance in reducing it. Clear & Cloudy Ther. 19o THURS. DEC. 14, 1893 Wind S.E. Quite cold today, with the wind S. E. and clouding up as if for snow. I put on a starched shirt & collar this morning for the first time for three months, and after finishing a letter to Charley, I walked up to the mill and sat until dinner time. Towards evening Miss Emma Schierer (the school teacher) called. It is very cold tonight and still threatens snow.

Cloudy & Clearing Ther. 32o FRI. DEC. 15th, 1893 Wind S.W. Wrote to F Tyson in answer to letter recd yesterday. It is much warmer today. I fear I took some cold yesterday being out too much in the cold wind. Mrs Robison was in & H undertook to cut out & make an "outing" shirt for Phil, who cut some wood for us. Afternoon I walked over to the school house for a little while. H has been suffering this afternoon with a bad headache & could not come to the table with us at suppertime. Recd: a box of beautiful cut flowers from Willie by mail.
