Oct 1st, 1892 The Enterprise Club was called to order at Magnolia, about the (?usenal) time, with all of the members present, but (?) Y. M. Stabler, Gran Faquhar, B.H. Miller (?X R. B. Farquhar), J. J.Shoemaker. J. Thomas & R. Ha. Miller were with us at this time, after reading the minutes of the previous meeting held here, we started out for a short walk. The corn house had been made rat proof, since our last meeting, which was a great improvement, the orchard had been quite well filled with apples, the garden like all others had suffered for rain, the cows were in fine order, the pigs were in good in good growing order, we paid a visit to the mill & were much interested in the many improvements there seen, were informed that the demand for fertilizer was larger than usual, the pile of wood was larger than for several years, showing that the farmers are scarce of money, so pay fertelizer bills with wood, after supper the minutes of our last meeting were read, & approved, after which, The following questions were asked & answered,

1/Ques C.E. Bond wishes to know the best Method of weending his cold.

38 Ans Most all prefer to keep in the stable & feed oats & bran.

2/Ques which is best to keep my colt up this winter or have shed in a lot? Ans all prefer an open shed in the lot--

3/Ques will it pay to use commercial fertilizer on My Stawberries? Ans nearly all say use bone now & Nitrate soda next spring. ---

4/Ques Is it best to feel cattle with corn on the fodder or husk it. Ans Nearly all prefer to husk or pull off befor feeding ---

5/Ques Will it do to pasture early sown wheat? Ans Some would pasture moderately in dry weather

6/Ques Will it do to husk corn now?-- Ans Yes if put in small lots---

7/Ques would it not be best to have our husking done by the shock rather than by the barrel? Ans This being new with us, much interest was taken in it, & nearly all of those oresebt exoect to try the experiment

8/Ques Will it do to feed sheep& hogs together on corn? Ans Most thought best to feed seperately--

Newton Stabler was appointed to confer with Guion Miller about the Amt due him for services rendered in the Market Case and report when ready

9/Ques What will you pay for husking corn by the barrel this season? -- Ans From 20 to 25 c pr barrel.

10/Ques My wheat land has been recently plowed, shall I use spring or (?) cor?? harrow? Ans Most would use an A Harrow or Roller

11/Quest What shall I pay for a pair of horses to

The Enterprise Club was called order about 4 P.M at Bellemont on teh afternoon of Nov 5th 1892 by Robert M Stabler as foreman. Granville Farquhar & P. T. Stabler were absent. -- After reading the minutes of the last meeting held here, we started out for a short walk. At the barn we found all in good order. The Dairy Cows especially were in fine condition . -- The Silo was filled, and our host considers the Silage the best he has ever had. -- Numerous Hogs of Various sizes, ages & colors were to be seen near the Dairy.--- A large addition to to the Dairy was underway. We were told and Engine & Perhaps a separator too would be put in .-- On returing to the house the The Min-utes of the last meeting; were read & approved, (?C Newton) Stabler was authorized to collect from each member $1. and to pay it over to (?Guicou) Miller for his services in the District Market (?Cahe) R. B. (?Farquha) moved that hereafter when it becomes necessary to change this time our regular time a meeting; a day be fined that will not conflict with the Montgomery Club. Which was passed unanimously.-- The subject of the change of Management in the Agricultural Society was discussed & the secretary was directed to forward a protest from this Club against any change of Management at this time

Asa MStabler, EdwP Thomas and RB Farquhar were appointed a committee on the Whashington Market, to Report when they are ready , [W?] 1/ques Where do you Keep your ashes Ans A majority Keep in a pile in the cellar. The others Keep in a pile in various out of the way places. __ 2/ ques What is fodder worth pr bundle ? Ans From Three to four cents . Falling Green Dec 3d 189[?]2 The Enterprise Club was called to order about the usual Time with P.[L?].Stabler Arthur Stabler Chas E Bond Granville Farquhar , BHMiller &E P Thomas absent. We had numerous guests with us at this time. After reading the minutes of the previous meeting held here we started for a walk . _ The Corn Hous as usual full of corn of the best quality. A sodfield near the house was plowed for corn next spring . In the hog pen we found sows nice shoats feeding for the spring market The fat cattle were not as good as our host usually has._ We had considerable discussion on the subject of feeding cattle. Most members agreed that the steers were not getting a full ration of corn to ensure best results. It was so late that we returned to the house without seeing the other stock. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.after which we were invited topartake of a bountiful

41 supper to which all did full justice, on resuming a letter from B.D.Palmer was read on the subject of holding a convention this year [&?] resulting i] the appointment of Asa M Stabler, RB Farquhar & Chas H Brooke as a committee,to meet a similar committe from the other clubs.on this A resolution was unanimously passed making it the duty of the President at each meeting to name a member who shall select a question for our next meeting to be opened by our Host._ Newton Stabler was named to select the question for our next meeting. After which the following questions were asked & answered . _____ 1/ques Chas H B rooke wishes to know what to do with his steers . Ans He was advised to increase hisfeed &sell as soon as they are fat. 2/ques What is the best style to Build a pig pen. Ans Every one present prefers a pen entirely under Roof 3/ques Is it best to buy clover seed now or wait till spring ? Ans Most think it will be higher in spring. 4/qus We had a very interesting discussion on the subject of de horning our cows . Mostof those present seemed to favor the plan 5. ques Sam c Hopkins asks shall he rebuild his barn on the old foundation or build some cheap stables and Barracks. Ans A maj ority would rebuild the barn
