Behrendt - Also read [Godiva?] poem very good

Tom Stabler reported he has bought a farm (20 ac) in Va. between Front Royal + Luray. He expects to entertain the Club there in a few years.

F Willson has a 6" belt for sale - no takers

F Willson also read a list of the Club membership 1952 - only 3 of present members were on that list.

Mr Stafford - had planted corn in a neighbor plot as a joke joke, but it didn't come up - Why? Birds probably ate it.

Adj to Ladies Night in Jan + Riggs in Feb.

Ladies night was held Jan 11, 1972 1249th meeting at the Cozy Restraurant in Thurmont. The trip was made by bus + a fine [stake?] dinner was enjoyed with entertainment

Some wondered whether our [Pres's?] wife [Pat?] would be able to be with us all evening especially in view of the somewhat jolly bus ride. However she made the trip OK + their farmers' daughter did not arrive until over 2 weeks later.
