How can I keep soap grease? Either make it
up at once or pour lye on it.

They are said to live three years, we suppose if
they don't decamp between two days in the mean
time.

What shall I do with my asparagus bed?
The subject of asparagus is so frequently mentioned
in our minutes, that we must consider
it one of the most important of vegetables.
Plenty of manure, plenty of salt, no weeds and
a mellow soil appear to be the conditions of
success. B.H. Miller read to us from the
Tribune of a marvellous cow which averaged
407 lbs of butter per year for 6 years in succession,
and was never given any salt, which
her owner thought was one great reason for
the enormous yield. We were also favored with
a good article from "the Intelligencer" entitled
"Hurry and Success".

Patty R. Stabler proposed that the Sec. should
name the Foreman in future so that we might
proceed to business more promptly. This was carried
unanimously. A. G. Thomas & A. E. Hartshorne
