Since executing my Will dated dated the 31st day of May 1899 kind Providence has brought about more favorable condition in the affairs of my estate which enables me to will more liberally to my legal heirs and to outside charities which are dear to my heart.
I feel justified in making the changes in making the following changes in regard in regard to my gifts to the Legatees, and will add gifts to charities ever dear to my heart.
As I have no debts, that can not be liquidated immediately by means provided for that purpose, I desire that all the Legatees named herein shall receive their legacies as soon as the laws of our State of California will allow as it is my earnest desire there should be no unnecessary delay.
Provisions have also been made to pay the Legatees as soon as permitted by law. Bonds accounting

to sums named covering all my requests are now awaiting the demand of my Executors to execute my desires.
These bonds consist of four per cent Southern Pacific Company of Kentucky, cupon bonds interest payable semi-annually and principle due in 1949.
The following named heirs are to be receive their bequests in Bonds, instead of Gold Coin.
My brother Ariel Lathrop of Albany New York State. I desire he shall receive during his life on earth the interest on two hundred thousand bonds one thousand ($1,000) dollar Bonds of the above named bonds to be paid semi-annually. At his death as he has no children these bonds shall be divided equally between his only brother Charles G. Lathrop of California his two Niece's, Jennie L. Lawton

Amy L Hansen daughters of my deceased brother Daniel S. Lathrop their father, and the two orphan children of Christian L Gunning also a daughter of my deceased brother Daniel S. Lathrop the grand children being named David S. Gunning and Amy L. Gunning of Sarasota Springs New York State - the amount named two hundred thousand, $1000 dollar bonds to be divided in four equal parts and divided by right of representation.
To my brother Charles G. Lathrop of California I give and bequeath in bonds the sum of two hundred, two hundred thousand Bonds one thousand dollars each being of S.P. four for acct Southern Pacific Company of Kentucky cupon bonds interest payable semi-annually and principle due in 1949 - 1949.

To Jennie L. Lawton of Sarasota New York State daughter of my deceased brother Daniel S Lathrop of Albany New York State Amy L. Hansen of Saratoga New York State daughter of my deceased brother Daniel S. Lathrop, also to the two grand children Amy L. Gunning and Daniel S. Gunning of my deceased brother Daniel S. Lathrop orphan children of my deceased Niece Christina L. Gunning, daughter of David S. Lathrop I give and bequeath the portion which would have been given my brother Daniel S. Lathrop had he lived - the portion being two hundred one thousand thousand dollars bonds ($1000) dollar bonds to be divided in four three equal parts and divided by right of representation.
I desire that the following named persons should receive from the above named S.P.Co. of K- four per cent bonds payable semi-annually and principle due in 1949.

To Miss Bertha Berner of S.F. Cal faithful Sec and friend for sixteen years $15,000 Bonds
John Kelly of Sacramento Cal faithful servant for forty years $1,000 in Bonds
Charles Wooster of Palo Alto Cal faithful coachman for forty years. $1000 in Bonds
Ah Wing, of San Francisco Cal faithful servant sixteen years $1000 in bonds
Mrs Charles Robertson of S.F. Cal faithful Housekeeper twelve years $1000 in bonds
Edward Largely of Napa California faithful valet for twelve years to my husband $1000 in bonds
