P.S. I was truly sorry to hear of the death of our old friend Capt Alfred Jones- another exempllfication of the truth of the aphorism-"In the midst of life we are in death." How is my good friend Judge Ruffin and his family, and how has he withstood the terrible crash of affairs which has befallen the South- I hope it has notaffected his health seriously-
