Wednesday 13th July 1859 finished halling in oats to day verry warm Ther 97 Des quit plowig our corn it is dyeing far want of rain are have plowed all 4 times but about 30 Aells in the hause feild + are haul plowed every alternate barn of That but will not plow The oTher unTil it rains Commenced moving in the afternoono with 4 hands the oTher choping weeds and of the corn verry hot will baru our corn cye in a few days if it keeps so hot + does not rain Ther 97 Deg in the shade

Saturday 16 July 1859 aed corn Hoalled out manure for Larnin the cloudy Today x not so hot as yesterday in the morning buT in afternoon very Hot Ther 98

Thursday the 21 July 1859 Finished Thrashing Wheat + Rye to day chaned up our Rye made 117 1/12 Bie Rye Ther 96 no rain corn burT up measly

Friday 22 July 1859 Commenced mowing in Shop meadow with 4 hand cleaned up The Waekes Whead made 60 Bu it was not weed field it Showdol of made 150 Da Mot so hot to day Ther 94

Saturday 23 July 1859 mowed + halled hay not so hat to dday Cloudy but no rain Ther 88 no rain corn burt up east made half a crop

Monday the 25 July 1859 Finished moving The shop meadow to dry cool + Dry

Tuesday 26th July 1859 Commenced mowin the cassel meadow Dag The Risk Potatoes in The Latem Garden Sowed Some Turnip seed in Cabbage Garden in udges Where we had early I wish polattoes But Ashes ow the ridges Dax paying here To day

Wednesday 27th July 1859 Reained moder ately from 7 to 12 uelk to day we the ground perhaps 2 in finished mowing the easd meadow To day n hands Detching along the Capoueh in farm field

Friday 29th July 1859 made blind detectes all day in barn fadd cold + dry Ther 58 at saw rain

Saturday 30 July 1859 Sowed Lalew Sordu in Lurtile seed Finished detecing + blinding in the barn field

Monday 1st Aug 1859 Still dry no rain to wet the ground since May The 19th Cant make 500 Bu corn if it dont rains shortly moveing down a barn from the Jarais place to Keep my males in + neet my corn Stalk, fodder in detched with 4 hands in weed road fied

Saturday 6 Aug 1859, Ruin 4 Turn plows in Barn field breaking for Wheat The oTher hands ditching + cleaning up brauch bottom along The branch Heat rtewiw from The round Hill we have cleaned up + detached about half an aore of verry Rieh bottom made 4 blind ditches in it pots sick

Monday 8th day 1859 ran 4 Farm plows. + turkid as yestersay pots sick

Tuesday 9 Aug 1859 Run 4 plows + worked as yesterday + cuuked cleaning w/e our branch bottom

Wednesday 10 Aug 1859 Run 4 plows 2 wagons Halling weaude + rich earth from Hog lot + barn gord, on the whead land rained moderately in the nogth made the ground in the cow fields wet enought, the stubble plow sows better rater hard yet not wet as deep as we plow

Thursday 11 Aug 1859 plowed + halled as yesterday Jawed 1/4 corn acu in Turnip seed to day next to pots house

Friday 12 Aug 1859 plowed Halled as yesterday Hald our cabbade They are verry sorry but are frowing sinew the rains cloudy + some Sprukley up rain but not much

Saturday 13th August 1859 plowed + halled manure rained a good shower in the evening

Monday the 15 Aug 1859 Rained a good rain yesterday ground wet one time more the first good season sineu the 4th day of April last plowed + Halled Lumber for our new Barn

Friday 18 Aug 1859 run 3 plows + helped Holden with Hraih wheat as yesterday with 7 hands as yesterday Rained a good season to day about noon wuit to plowing in affernoon again ground too wet only ou bughest part of the field The rains for the lost two weeks has helped our verry much a great many new shoot trick put out but it come too late for us to make much come cant make more than 1/3 roy a corn crop say 1000 Bu

Saturday 20 th August 1859 Commenced saving Rye in mud road field East other branch run 6 plows we are sowing the Rye in corn sowed a small patch of Turning seed along the Branch in the same field

Monday 21 Aug 1859 finished sowing rye we have sowed 10 of 12 acres made fence in the falford pasture

Tuestday 23 August 1859 Commenced sowing winter Oats in the Roberts Orchard with 5 plows finished Our fence in the Fulford pasture Rained a good Season in afternoon

Wednesday 14 August 1859 Too wet to plow until noon the first time our land has been too wet to plow since the 4th Farm plows in barn field Bro Heraw got married yesterday + Took dinner with us to day

Thursday 25 Aug 1859 ran four Turn plows finished breaking the barn field by noon + went to Sowing winter Oats gor nearly done

Friday 26 August 1859 Run 4 Farm plows in Fulford field next to perry breaking up for wheat the other hands Sprouting + Holing Turnips we have Two Acres or mow in Turnips they look verry fine

Saturday 27 Aug 1859 run 4 plows in the same field rained Sheds around our wide Barn The barn is 20 ft square the sheds all round 12 ft wide making 44 ft square to hold corn stalk fodder + plowing the centre 20 ft square is for the mules to stand in Newry faster + negro Jack is building it they have been 4 weeks heaving the timber

Monday 29 Aug 1859 rained Saturday night + again all of last night still raining hard this morning northeart stown ground thoroughly wet for the first time since the first of April too wet to plow for several days worked in the barn

Tuesday 30 th Aug 1859 made blend detchin the field kext to mr Perry, until noon there went to plowind in the same field ground rather wet

Wednesday 31 August 1859 Finished Breaking wheat land we have broke about 75 Acres we commenced the 6 Aug+ have last but 4 or 5 days since we began Finished the blind ditch in the Fulford field we made about 225 Yds a very good job

Thursday 1st Sept 1859 Commenced breaking for corn in pump field with 4 live horse plows ground in fine order for plowing the other hands cleaning up in the Barn filld at the Fulford placd where we are to plant corn next year

Friday 2nd Sept 1859 plowed in puwp field + cleaned pe/e at Fulford plaed

Saturday 3 Sept 1859 plowed in pump field cawlueeting at fwith grows

Monday 5 Sept 1859 plowed in forenoon rained a good season in afternoon

Tuesday 6 Sept 1859 run 4 plows Commenced mowing in by meadow with 2 hands

Saturday 10 Sept been plowing + mowing all the week finished plowing the purple field for corn nearly done many the weed road meadow got 8 suads hay

Monday 12 Sept 1859 quit plowing + Commenced pulling Fodder finished weed road meadow

Saturday 1st Octr 1859 Commenced Sowing Wheat in the lower end of Barn field 6 plows + harrow we sow purple straw wheat plow it in with seiters + then Harrow will warm + cloudy

Monday 3rd Oct 1859 quite cool this morning pulled pea vines all day with all hands

Wesnesday 5 Oct 1859 pulled pea vine yesderday + to day Halled in pea vines finished pulling pea vines

Saturday 8th Oct 1859 Sowed Wheat in fore noon + halled pea vines in the afternown we have sown about 25 Acres in Wheat up to this time This afternoon we cut 10 Acres of Tops Commenced waking Syrruge to deep for Joshua Hallilll for half the first we how made + the cane in now too green it does not yeild much syrrup

Monday 10th Octr 1859 stoped sowing wheat to finish halling in ou pea vines + gather the Yatem field of corn to get pasture for our cattle flight florst not enough to damage anything

Friday the 14th Oct 1859 been halling pea vines + cornstalks + tho corn off of the totem lots finished yesterday we made 2 co Ba cown ou 12 Acres peabody corn we have saved about 40 loads pea uniy in verry good order ueept raty green
