Saturday 17th March 1860 run two turn plows in Fulford field plowing for corn Beded 3 1/2 Bu sweet potatoes choped + made fence on the line between buthrell + myself to the left of mud road sold 100 Bu White Wheat in Sepington at 130 Bu moderate Spring weather the oats need rain to soften the top of the ground go let it come up
Monday 19th March 1860 rained all day yesterday + until noon today in afternoon made fence as we did Saturday + choped + halled ground verry wet moderate + warm
Tuesday 20th March 1860 choled + halled wood
Wednesday 21 March 1860 quite cool + frosty this morning choped + plowed up potatoe patch planted 1/2 acre in Irish potatoes on the left of mud load
Thursday 22 March 1860 quite cold + frosty in the morning ground froze plowed garden + potatoe patch made fence finished breaking the Athow field Halled leaver + put on the Irish potatoes sowed 2 Acres in clover seed + oats by the corn crib put 1 peck cloves seed + 2 Bu oats on the lot
Friday 23 March 1860 verry windy + cool
Saturday 24 March 1860 Commenced sciting for corn in the Athow field
Monday 26 March 1860 finished lutug the Athow field verry cool
Tuesday 27 March 1860 cold this morning plenty of ice + frost listed in the Cassel field
Wednesday 28 March 1860 still cold + frosty killed some of the peaches but not all finished listing the Cassel field
Thursday 29 March 1860 Commenced planing corn in the Fulford field with 2 sets of hands 2 hands ditching along it creek cold + frosty
Friday 30th March 1860 Finished planting the Fulford field in corn 20 Acrs in afternoon commenced breaking the pump field the 2nd time with 7 seats plows + one two Horse plow in Cherry orchard

Teusday 10th April 1860 run 6 plows lesting 11 pump field 2 wagons halling manure on the corn hill at Athows verry hot dry + windy Ther at 90 Degs The corn at Athow is comeing up barely
Wednesday 11 April 1860 Still warm + verry dry Ther 88 commenced planting corn in pump field halled manure at Athow with 3 wagons got done manured about 10 Acres in the hill
Thurdsay 12th April 1860 Halled manure on hills in pump field with 4 wagons not so warm but verry dry
Friday 13 April 1860 run 1 plow planting corn + 3 wagons halling manure
Saturday 14th April 1860 planted corn + halled manure in pump field no rain yet ground verry dry the first corn we planted has come up verry fine + needs peplanting but we cannot do it until we get done planting
Monday 16th April 1860 cool + cloudy in the moring but did not rain halled manure with 4 wagons + put on the corn hills in puml field
Tuesday 17 April 1860 finished planting + manuring the hills of the pump field manured all in the hills execpt 50 r6 Acres of the best verry dry

Tuesday 8th May 1860 Dan Shearing Sheek two hands moving a house from Athow to make a wash house other hands nulling cocked out of the wheat The 17 year Locast commenced cowning out at Lirn Town to day there is a great many There but none on my farm

Friday 25th May 1860 from 2 until 5 1/4 o clock in The morning it rained more Than it ever has at one time on my farm washed the land verry bad about 4 in of rain fell let out 5000 sweet potatoe slips and 1000 cabbage plants
Saturday the 26 May 1860 Thined corn in the evening had ah other verry hard rain with some verry large Hail the largest weighed nearly 10g done some damage

Friday 15th June 1860 finished plowing the Athow corn field the 4th time
Saturday 16 June 1860 plowed in cherry orchard until 9 oclk then cut wheat in Perry field until noon Then all hands took holiday Rained a good Season in afternoon + night
Monday 18 June 1860 finidhed plowing cherry orchard 3rd Time Theu Cut Wheat in Perry field Luke sick

Thursday 21 June 1860 finished mowing the will lirap in mud road meadow we had 18 4 horse loads hay finished plowing the cassel field of corn the 4th time
