Friday 22 March 1861 verry cold Ther 24 peacher nearly all killed plowed in the Roberts Orchard Lack + Log sick verry windy yesterday

Saturday 23rd run 9 plows in field East 07 meadow Beaking the 2nd time of where we plowed last fall Big frost This morning

Saturday 30th March 1861 Been plowing The 2nd time all the week in field East of meadow + Barn field will take two of 3 days more to get done all the 2nd time Rained a good season last night + we plowed the orchard Levied to day Been cold + windy all the week

Monday 1st April 1861 Listed the Academy cornes and commenced planting corn in the afternoon quite cool + cloudy ran 7 plows breaking Bark field the 2 time

Teusday 2nd April 1861 Planted corn in Academy corners + run 7 plows breaking Bark field 2nd time warm + fine

Wednesday the 3rd April 1861 Cool + cloudy run 6 plows listing the Perry field at Fulford place run 3 plows in Barn field

Thursday 4 April 1861 Finished listing and commenced planting Perry field

Friday 5 April 1861 Finished planting Perry field at Fulford place

Saturday 6 April 1861 Cool + cloudy all day run 9 plows in field East of Meadow breaking the 2nd time

Monday 8th April 1861 Rained all day yesterday North East wind quite cool cloudy + cool to day burt Brush + halled 2 loads plank from mill at sheet town

Tuesday 9 April 1861 Rained a great deal last night Ground verry wet Scraped up manure in Barn lots

Wednesday 10th April 1861 Still too wet to plow scraped manure +6

Thursday 11 th Apl 1861 plowed at Jun Town breaking 2 lots of about 9 Acres to plant in corn

Friday 12th April 1861 Scraped manure halled 2 bow logs to mill + 6

Monday 14 Apl 1861 ground still too wet to plow except on the rocky Ridges run 5 plows in mud road feld east of the Branch 2 wagons halled manure + lhrowed it in piles in mud road field to put in the corn hilld commenced Raining in Wening + Rained all night

Tuesday 15th April 1861 Rained all last night + still pouring down this morning and continued to rain until noon + stoped ground verry wet no chance to plant corn this week

Wednesday 16th April 1861 Good deal of Frost this morning not enough to kill anything halled manure + sprouted sold or Wherton 300 Bu Wheat at 125 Bu delivered at Farming Tore

Thursday 17th April 1861 ground too wet to plough Healled manure + sprouted

Farmington Friday the 8th April 1861 commenced plowing with five plows the other Breaking potatoe patch

Saturday 20th April 1861 Commenced planting corn in Roberts orchard with one set of hands 7 plows listing Big Frost Frost this morning ground froze some Ther 33 perhaps it has done but little damage except to the may wheat which is inpured bally the fruit is not all killed the peaches had not shed the bloom is all that sand then sent 29 Goats to siwTaurn pasture we have 24 sheep then also and the Ewes + Sants in cassel pasture

Monday 21 April 1861 planted corn in mud road field East of Branch 1 set of hands listered in mud road field with 7 plows

Tuesday 22 Apl 1861 finished listing mud road field + commenced planting + manuereing in the hills

Saturday 26th April 1861 finished planting mud road field + have manured about 20 Acres of it in the hill some frost this miring

Monday 28th April 1861 listed + planted corn in west end of Bark field

Tuesday 30th planted corn in Barn field slight frost the 1st + 2 days of spring

Wednesday 1st May 1861 still planting corn in Barn field verry windy day sent shead of cattle to Germany pasture

Saturday 4th May 1861 finished planting Barn field except 2 of 3 Acres that is too hard manured 10 or 12 Acres in hill verry dry Negro Woman Cassa child at night a great lops to the negro family The Black Mare Old Poke had a mare colt on the 1st day of May the Colt is Blk with Stor in forward + a little white on the feet

Monday the 6th May 1861 Rained yesterday and all this day ground verry wet set out 4500 cabbage plants cleaned up wheat + 6

Friday the 10 May 1861 Finished planting corn + manuring in the Hills we have planted 150 in corn and manured abot 40 Acres in the hill replanted Fulford field + Academy borrow to day

Saturday 11 May 1861 Negros planted their patches of corn at lin town about 8 Acres

Monday 13th May 1861 Commenced breaking out middles + replanting corn finished Acase my lots + commenced in Perry fielt at Fulford place The linny had a jack colt yesterday shearing sheep to day Blk mare put to I I Eatons Horse

Tuesday 14 May 1861 finished breaking out middles in Perry field + commencd mud Road field

Wednesday 15th May 1861 finished 9 shearing sheep we sheares 41 sheep and got 86 lts wool we have 41 old sheep + 13 Lambs making 54 sheep and 32 goats all sent to the pasture at limtown Broke middles in mud road field

Thursday 16 May 1861 plowed in mud road field 8 plows

Friday 17 May 1861 finished breaking middle in mud Road field + commenced Barn field

Tuesday 28 May 1861 crop plowed in mud Road field sent to RO Maman + Co Lan Yard 2 cow hides 23 1/2 ft + 1 goat 1 Kin to Yam for half

Monday 3 June 1861 another verry hard rain in the afternoon washed the corn field verry bad ground verry wet commenced mowing in mud road meadow to day with 4 hands the others thined corn set potatoe slips + cabbage plants

Teusday 4 June 1861 mowed with 4 hands + the others thined corn

Wednesday 5 June 1861 mowed + skewed corn in the evening had another verry hard Rain wet our hay

Thursday 6 June 1861 finished mowing mud road meadow cloudy in forenoon the hay did not cure much all the hay on the meadow 9 Acres is now on it none dry enough to stack in the Eveing had another verry hard Rain

Friday 7th June 1861 cured + put up hay turned corn +6

Saturday 8th June 1861 6 ommenced cutting May Wheat cut Fulford place Raned in afternoon a light shower

Monday 10th June 1861 finished cutting may wheat we had 20 Acres in May Wheat + made 440 Dog the gaeens is goot but the straw short + in some places it was not good

Teusday 11 June 1861 plowed the Latew corners the 3rd time

Wednesday 12 June 1861 plowed in the barn field finished the 2nd plowing commenced cutting purple straw wheat in the House field with one cradle cutting the ripost Spats

Thurday 13th June 1861 run nine plows at Fulford place 3rd plowing until noon Then started 5 cradles cutting wheat in house field

Friday 14th June 1861 run 8 cradles cutting purple straw wheat in house field

Saturday 15 June 1861 run 8 cradles in house field got nearly sone that field

Monday 17th June 1861 Finished cutting the House field of purple straw wheat had 1560 Dag in Heat field quite cool

Teusday 18th June 1861 Finished cutting purple straw wheat by noon to day at had 390 Dog ow there the Fulford place + commenced cutting white wheat at Fulford place

The Cassel field was rather short but shop field + cherry orchar was verry good oats 85 Acres in all

Thurday 18th July 1861 ground too wet to plow hoed sweet potatoes at noon it Rained a hard shower + made the ground too wet to work in corn field hoed some new ground corn in the afternoon some wheat and all our oats out set and it is ratting in the shock

Saturday 20th July 1861 ground still too wet to work in corn field in afternoon we finished halling in wheat but it was too fet + will Rot in the Barn if not thrashed soon

Monday 22 July 1861 Rained a great seal to day a regular norsh East Rain oats all out yet + nearly rotton

Teusday 23rd July 1861 cleared off Coal scraped out the fence cornes in orchard + done up other jobs ground verry wet Jax haping here to day

Saturday 3 Aug 1861 mowed + halled hay in shop meadow

Monday 5 Aug 1861 finished shop meadow we got 27 4 horse loads of hay on that meadow warm + getting dry

Thursday 8th Aug 1861 finished mowning the cassel meadow we got loads of hay on that meadow mowed graps lag 4 the liggle meadow on left of the mud road Dry + warm

Saturday 10th Aug finished diging Irish potatoes made 75 or 100 Bu small in size Sowed turnip + Orchard crops seed on the Garden lot next the load about one Acre well manured with Barn lard manure + Ashes

Monday 12th Aug 1861 halled Rock + madf a way to drive in Bark Took perhaps 40 Loads of Rock + clint

Teusday 13 Aug 1861 mowed the girm town meadow Halled wood +6 ln the evening had a good shower of Rain wet the Ground 2 in

Wednesday 14th Aug 1861 plowed cow fun + sowed Turnip seed + orchard Graps seed ou lot north of corn cpob cloudy + verry cool

Thursday 15th Aug 1861 Thrashed White Wheat at Fulford Bark verry cool
