About the same -- but more pleasant -- Accomplished nothing today -- Evening at home --

Tuesday April 19

Variable, but pleasant -- I was about, as usual -- Evening mostly at home -- Bed at 2 --
Snowing and raining some -- John Yule my old time friend of Gold Hill and subse-
quently of the (Hussey) mine, Cornecopia, Elko County, called upon me about noon --
He is now superintendent of the Atlantic mine, Silver City --

Snow 2 inches The Pioneer picture

Wednesday April 20

Early morning a big snowstorm which deposited fully two inches -- Melted off mostly
during the day -- but the air was wintry and the sky considerably clouded -- Specu-
lating -- Evening I wrote a notice of the great Pioneers Group picture for Rob --
Patterson, to go in the Va Chronicle tomorrow -- Was about town some -- Bed at 2 --
Clear & freezing hard --

500 shares Centennial sold $100 to wife

Thursday April 21

Clear cool & pleasant -- Tom Johns paid me $300 this PM for 500 shares Centennial,
which he and Harry have been negociating for the last week or two -- I got a check
on Wells Fargo & Co at Joe Douglass' for $100 and enclosed it in letter to my wife
& sent it by mail to her this evening -- Sent telegram: "Look out for my letter
