Rank -- The Reno Uniform Rank Division to the the number of about 20 came up on a

special train, arriving at 3 PM -- Fine uniform -- Marched to Pythian Hall -- At 5 PM
the newly organized Rank & Reno paraded publicly with band of music up B & down
C streets -- About 70 in all -- looked fine -- Had a big ball in the evening at Opera
House -- I was there, with Hugh J Mehan, who came up with the Renoites -- Bed 3 --

Saturday April 23

Variable, but pleasant -- As usual -- Got letter from wife also one from Bob Patter-
son, who went to S.F. day before yesterday -- Paid my Centennial assessment today --

Clear & pleasant -- About town as usual -- Bed at 1 -- Hugh J Mohan came up from
Reno today, canvassing for the newspapers there, (Parker's) map of Nevada, etc --
Is going out to Hawthorne, etc --
