Light snowstorm most of the day -- Cold & raw -- Evening at theater -- Good house -- Ole Olson and good variety company -- Very amusing and satisfactory entertainment -- Swedish in the lead, with lots of funny things dances, songs, etc -- Bed at 1 -- The stock board quotations today, for the first time in Comstock history were given in fractions of a dollar less than five cents.
Thursday March 22
Clear & pleasant -- but cold -- freezing in the shade all day -- Letter from wife says she and Sammy go to California on a trip tomorrow -- She to return Apr 4 -- He probably stay a week or 2 longer at Eunice's or elsewhere -- Bed 12 -- Wrote letter to wife evening mail --

Same -- "Good Friday" -- Bed 1 -- This PM, with Capt Harry Trewella, I visited Uncle Bill Dunn, north end of town -- Old Cornishman -- used to keep saloon in Gold Hill in palmy days -- popular favorite, and great admirer of me & Gold Hill News. Old man badly crippled with the rheumatics last few years -- Waiting to die -- Only able to hobble about a little --
